Graveyard shift makes me depressed.
by CyraEm

So I'm on graveyard shift now, throwing freight. Which works out in a lot of ways, but since i only work three days a week right now, it means a lot of long, lonely nights. I end up really depressed when I'm up all night, hence the end of the world comic. That one actually is a result of watching the music video for Snow Patrol's song Chocolate and then proceeding to look up every apocalypse song I've ever heard and start planning the party I plan to have when the world goes to shit.

So it's five in the morning, I keep working myself into an emotional lather, the sun's just now coming up and I need to be asleep in four hours, and I'm making comics. This doesn't bode well for readers.

There's only one way to solve this. Time to make cupcakes!

My Husband's Penis
by CyraEm

My husband got me a tablet a few days ago, BECAUSE HE IS THE SHIT!! and I've been playing with it since then. I've got alot of stuff that I've thrown together, including Monday's comic, which I did entirely on the tablet. I gotta say, my inking really suffers on this thing, which is understandable because I'm not used to it. But as far as coloring and painting I'm much improved, and I use it all the time instead of the mouse, which is super awesome.

And I'm going to reward my husband by putting his penis up  on the internet. Now I don't want to ruin the joke yet, but I definitely am going to be drawing him naked, at which point he will join the esteemed ranks of spouses whose sex lives have been broadcast to the world in adorable form, a group that most famously includes Erika Moen and Lucy Knisley's  significant others.

In other news, I'm looking for a writer whose work I can use. I want to put together a mini, but my short story skills are, quite frankly, dreadful. Can't pay, but you can have half the copies I print to hand out yourself to showcase your writing. I know I sound like a total bum asking this, but I figured, hey, someone might be interested.

The Escapist WebComic Contest
by CyraEm

I'm going to venture a quick guess and say that most of you out there in internet-land watch Yahtzee's game reviews at TheEscapist.com, and those of you that don't can tell by my stern glare that you had better go over there and check him out.

So, cutting right to the quick, The Escapist is having a webcomic contest with the grand prize being a paid webcomic contract with them. This is the best thing I've ever heard. They're no longer accepting submissions, so now I'm just waiting for the results to come out. Say a small prayer for me. Or a big one. Possibly some chanting. Get a goat if you can.

I've been getting into DeviantArt
by CyraEm

Yeah, I know, everyone else did this ten years ago before me. Shut up. I'm just now deciding to put my stuff up. At first I looked at DeviantArt, saw all the chibi fanart, and threw up a little in my mouth before clicking away. Lately though, I've decided that it would accomplish two things for me: Send a bunch of traffic my way by showing my comics to a greater audience, and allow me a forum to post all my fetish pinups. It has accomplished both in record time with flying colors and various other euphamisms.

I actually really like alot of my BDSM pinups and I'm in love with my sleeping fetish girl.

So, if any of you are interested, you can find me on DeviantArt.
